NEED A LOAN? ART NOW LENDS UP TO £100,000 TO SMALL BUSINESSES

Small businesses can now borrow up to £100,00 from ART

Thanks to new support from the Regional Growth Fund, Unity Trust Bank and The Co-operative Bank, ART is doubling the maximum size of its loans and has more money to lend than last year.

ART now lends from £10,000 to £100,000 and has £1.6m to lend to small businesses in Birmingham and Solihull in the coming year.

To qualify for a loan, businesses must have a viable proposition and a realistic plan for repaying the money, but have been unable to get any or all of the cash they need from a bank.

ART offers loans to support cashflow, growth, diversification or any other business purpose, with an overall aim of helping its borrowers to create or protect jobs. It lends to start ups as well as existing businesses.

“Having had a record year for lending in 2001-12, we look forward to being able to support hundreds more businesses in need of a cash injection to support growth and jobs in the coming years,” says ART Chief Executive Steve Walker. “We’re keen to see local businessmen and women succeed and are here to ensure that small businesses are able to access the finance they need. We aim to keep the process of applying for a loan as straightforward as possible and work in partnership with other finance providers, sometimes lending as part of a package, or signposting applicants to alternative solutions if appropriate.”
